Description

Sulfaprim is the cotrimoxazole tablets and it contains Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethorpirim

Indications

Indicated for

- Urinary Tract Infections , Acute Otitis Media , Acute Exacerbations of Chronic Bronchitis in Adults

- Shigellosis , Pneumocystis jiroveci Pneumonia

- Traveler's Diarrhea in Adults

Dosage

Adults: The usual adult dosage is 1 tablet or 2 tablets every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days or dosage directed by the physician

Children: The recommended dose for children is 40 mg/kg sulfamethoxazole and 8 mg/kg trimethoprim per 24 hours, given in two divided doses every 12 hours for 10 days. or dosage directed by the physician
