This medicine is prescription only medicine (POM ) and required under medical supervision .
ဤဆေးသည် POM ဆေးအုပ်စုတွင်ပါဝင်သောကြောင့် ဆရာဝန်ညွှန်ကြားချက်အတိုင်းသာ သုံးစွဲသင့်ပါသည် ။

Rosuvastatin is third generation HMG CO-A Reductase inhibitor and it selective and competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase,

Action
The primary site of action of rosuvastatin is the liver, the target organ for cholesterol lowering.
Rosuvastatin increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell-surface, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL
Inhibits the hepatic synthesis of VLDL, thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles.

Indication
Primary hypercholesterolaemia , Homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia as an adjunct to diet and other lipid lowering treatments or if such treatments are not appropriate.

Dosage
The recommended start dose is 5mg or 10mg orally once daily in both statin naive  or patients switched from another HMG CoA reductase inhibitor or dosage directed by the physician
