Ampicillin is bactericidal at low concentrations and is clinically effective not only against the gram-positive organisms usually susceptible to penicillin G but also against a variety of gram-negative organisms.

Indicated for the infection of Genitourinary Tract ,Infections of the Respiratory Tract ,Infections of the Gastrointestinal Tract , Meningitis

Dosage

Adults and Children over 20 kg - 250mg or 500mg 4 times a day 7 to 14 days

Children Weighing 20kg or less - 50 to 100 mg/kg/day total, in equally divided or dosage directed by the physician
