Description

Enalapril is Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor ( ACEI )
Angiotensin II also stimulates aldosterone secretion by the adrenal cortex.
The beneficial effects of enalapril in hypertension and heart failure appear to result primarily from suppression of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.

Indication
    Hypertension , Congestive Heart Failure , Diabetic Nephropathy , Reduce Cardiovascular Risk
    Renovascular hypertension ,  As an adjunctive therapy with diuretics and/or digitalis , Retards the progression of Diabetic Nephropathy

Dosage
Initial dose  is 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily or dosage directed by the physician
